Hello everyone
Its been awhile since I posted something, its not that I've been super busy or anything but for some reason time seems to have gone by rather quickly these days.
Anyway today I feel like I have to say something about M.A.C and their services. I went to their counter awhile ago to get a foundation since I was running low but I ended up buying a lot, when I say a lot I mean a lot! I think I spent over £100 in the end and well this blog post maybe a bit of rant, OK its actually me ranting and sort of advice too but read and on! (please)
OK so as I said I wanted 'A' foundation, and I ended up with Select SPF15 and Studio Moisture Tint SPF15. First of all I have to say that being Thai I really don't like it when people see that your not white and automatically assume that your tan (I know what your thinking read a bit further) so have you will be comparable darker shades, ONLY. I know that people have varieties of skin tone and colour but you do get paler Thai people out there!
Anyway lets get to the main story; the girl who was helping me did not listen to me at all!
=> Bad sign number 1! <=
Anyway I just wanted one foundation and get the hell out of there at this point, but no according to her NC35 is way too light for me and it doesn't match well. She physically made me sit down while she slap the shade of NC45 on me and that's SIX (well seven since I wear one shade darker!) shades darker than what I really am! At that point I didn't really know what shade she had put on my face but I gathered that it was a lot darker as she kept saying that we wear the same shade. And there's me thinking your of Afro-Caribbean decedent and I'm Thai the possibility of us being the same shade is very low, from what I can see right now!
=> Bad sign number 2 <=.
Well all was revealed when I stepped out to see whether the colour was alright (of course I knew it wasn't but gave her benefit of the doubt) and well she made me looked like I had just spray tanned my face.
=> What all the signs were pointing to actually happend <= ( T - T ) ( T - T )
And well lets just say I went back in and had words with her! I mean I don't like it when I'm too pale it just doesn't look healthy but this was on another level. I don't want to be a freak with black face and pale body!
After this I called for the manager and well she sorted everything things out so everyone was happy, well I was! So to all the Asian ladies out there its all well and good that you go to the counter and expect them to find the right shade for you just be aware of what they are putting on your face; after all it's your face you know it best!
That's all from me today I hope that my experience doesn't happen to anyone else! If it does you know what to do! ( ^ . ~ )
Until next time.
xoxo
PS I'm NOT saying that every Afro-Caribbean person does this! This was my ONE off experience, thought it was funny and wanted to share my good and bad experiences of M.A.C with you all!
